IMA Eagle LLC is a private school for the instruction of Traditional Japanese Karate Do in Eagle Idaho since 1997. Empty-hand techniques are stressed in the development of a intergrated self defense style, including elements of jujitsu and aikido, but training is also offered for all students in the use of the Three Foot Stick (Hanbo) and in the use of the staff and other weapons for more advanced students.
Protocol is strict and IMA Eagle prides itself in being one of the most form schools in Idaho. Emphasis is placed on the mind, body and spirit development with the understanding that all students will have strengths in different areas and thus need individualized training.
Head Instructor, Eva Steinwald, is a third degree black belt and leads the school with over 17 years of training and teaching.
All IMA Instructors participate in special classes concerning martial arts education, classes that address such issues as the different needs of various ages and social gruops, adjusting the physical training to work around disabilities and injuries and training of the athletically gifted students.
